Walla Walla High School recognizes that sometimes students need support to deal with problems they are having either at school or home. Walla Walla High School is offering support groups for students who need support in the following areas: promoting mental health wellness and resilience, preventing substance use, and helping students overcome barriers to learning to promote academic success.

Our goal is to improve life-skills and promote success in school. These groups meet for a single class period once a week. The period in which support groups meet is rotated regularly to reduce the instruction time lost in each class. Students are required to make up any missed work while participating in a support group.

These support groups are a valuable resource for our students and staff, and we want to be able to offer them to any student who wishes to join. Parent permission is not necessary for students to participate.

If you have any questions regarding your student’s attendance to the group, please feel free to give me a call at 509-792-4012 or email mlynch@wwps.org.

All information will be treated confidentially and respectfully.
