10th Grade Info
Congratulations! You survived freshman year! During sophomore year, students should continue working hard in their classes and discover the subjects they enjoy. Sophomore year is the perfect time to explore a variety of areas-- this can be done during elective classes, clubs, volunteer work, and more. We hope that students start to reflect on their learning and find what they enjoy so they can focus on the graduation pathway that best fits their interests and aligns with their future goals.
The counseling team is here to help sophomores with academic support, career and career exploration, personal/social support and development, and a connection to resources.
We present information to facilitate students' High School and Beyond Planning and support students Social/Emotional Learning through WaHi’s weekly advisory program, as well as present to students in classrooms two times in sophomore year. We do the following presentations:
Advisory: High School and Beyond Plan: Career/College Exploration (through SchooLinks), Personal/Social Development (utilizing the Character Strong Curriculum).
Spring Classroom Presentations: Graduation Requirements/Credit Checks and Junior Registration/4 year course Planning
We look forward to continuing to work with you this year!
