What You Need to Know About the Military

Learn more about careers in the military 

Wa-Hi works with recruiters from the following branches of the military:

  • Air Force
  • Army
  • Army National Guard
  • Coast Guard
  • Marines
  • Navy

For each of these, there are three major pathways to joining:

  • Enlisting (enter right after high school or whenever you plan with your recruiter)
  • ROTC (going to a college with an established ROTC program so you are simultaneously training to be an Officer)
  • Academy (to be selected fo rone of the military academies, such as the Army at West Point, Navy at Annapolis, and the Air Force near Colorado Springs, you need to be nominated by our state's member of Congress, Senator, or the Vice President.
