Juniors who are interested in attending a 4 year university can sign up for the PSAT test in the ASB office! The PSAT is a great way to practice for the SAT and ACT, and can also qualify you for the National Merit Scholarship. The test is $15 and will be given on October 16th during the school day. Registration is open until October 14th. Students who are on free/reduced lunch qualify for a fee waiver. If there are questions, please see Ms. Lujan in the counseling office.
Woo hoo! You're halfway there! During junior year, we encourage students to start thinking about their plans following high school. There are many great T-2-4 and Military (Technical, 2 year college, 4 year college) options to explore. This is the perfect year to make connections with teachers, visit college representatives, and understand T-2-4 requirements.
Junior year can be stressful, and the counseling staff is here to help you through it. Please don't hesitate to reach out for any needs you may have!
We present three times during junior year. We do the following presentations:
Winter: Exploring T-2-4 Options and College Entrance Testing
Spring: Senior Registration
Spring: Financial Literacy and Budgeting in Adulthood
If you plan to apply to a 4-year university, make sure you have signed up for the ACT or SAT by winter of your senior year. If you are on free/reduced lunch, please pick up a fee waiver in the counseling office.
