Link Crew hosts freshmen social

Information from Communication Director Mark Higgins
Wa-Hi's Link Crew is sponsoring an Ice Cream Social on Sept. 12 for freshmen in the Commons.
Freshmen are invited to attend after 6th or 7th period, depending on their last class, so they do not miss any instructional time. This is a great way for Link Crew leaders to connect with their Freshmen and check-in with them. This school year, the Link Crew Commissioners met in August to begin organizing Link Crew events including Freshmen Orientation and created a Mission Statement: "To guide freshmen in the transition to becoming Blue Devils and to create a happy, healthy Wa-Hi.
"The ice cream social is part of this mission and an important part of the Link Crew program,” said Kayla Crain, a Wa-Hi Senior and Link Crew leader and commissioner. “The ice cream social gives us time to bond with our Freshmen outside of class. Freshmen feel rewarded for being Freshmen and that helps build relationships that they are comfortable with here at Wa-Hi.”
