Wrestlers compete at state

Wa-Hi wrestlers Edwin Romero and McKinley Hudiburg travelled to Tacoma on Friday, Feb 16, to compete in the state wrestling tournament at the Tacoma Dome.

Overall, Wa-Hi placed twenty-fifth out of 65 4A high school teams that travelled to compete at this competition.

Romero placed fourth overall, becoming Wa-Hi’s highest state-placer since 2002. Hudiburg also broke a 1990 school record for number of pins made in a single season, with 32 pins overall during his 2017-18 wrestling season.
