Swimmers compete at state

Juniors Hannah Gordon, Hannah Gardner, Hally Ruff and Paige Gardner competed at the WIAA state swim meet on Nov. 11 and 12.

Paige Gardner took third in the 50-yard freestyle with a time of 24.16. Ruff took seventh in the same race.

Gardner and Ruff also competed in the 100-yard freestyle, placing 10th and 16th respectively.

Gordon, Gardner, Ruff and Gardner placed 10th in 200-yard freestyle relay, re-breaking their own school record, set the previous week, with a time of 1:42.18.

The 200-yard medley relay, also featuring Gordon, Gardner, Ruff and Gardner, placed ninth. They broke the school record with a time of 1:54.52 the previous week at the district meet in Kelso, WA.

Overall, the Wa-Hi girls placed 13th at the meet out of 36 schools.
