Whitman Enrichment Applications

Whitman Enrichment applications are available in the counseling center in Mrs. Lujan's office. Whitman Enrichment offers students the ability to take college courses at Whitman College free of charge. The program is designed to enrich the academic experience of students (usually juniors or seniors). Students will receive college credit for these classes. Applications are due by May 11.

Evergreen Boys State and Girls State

Interested in learning about government, citizenship, collaboration and meeting new people? Evergreen Boys State and Girls State is for you. American Legion and Women's Auxiliary are sponsoring this week long, expenses paid to current juniors who are interested in learning about government, citizenship, collaboration and meeting people. This is a great resume builder as well as potential scholarships and 5th year benefits. Mr. Higgins was a Boys Stater when he was a junior. Earn Community Service Hours

Hey Blue Devils! Earn community service hours helping at the Edison Elementary Garden Club! The club meets every Monday at the Edison Garden from 3:00-4:30pm until June 4th. That's 10.5 hours of community service. Requirements: Good working with children and love to be outside. You must provide your own transportation. Talk to Mrs. Laufenburg in S-16 if interested.

Mary Garner Esary Trust

The Mary Garner Esary Trust is awarding scholarships to Seniors on track for graduation. They are awarding 6 applicants with a $1,000 scholarship and 1 applicant with a $1,500 scholarship!

Students will be asked to provide a resume and a letter describing how the scholarship will benefit them in their post high school endeavors as well as current academic achievement, financial need, and/or service to the school or community.

Resume and letter is due to Ms. Hudson in the counseling office by Friday, April 27th. with a clear indication of which scholarship you are applying for.

Prospect Point needs a few more after school tutors to help their students finish the year strong! Every Tuesday and Thursday, 3-4 p.m. Could earn 10 community service hours this spring if you sign up this week. Fill out volunteer form at Prospect Point School. Kids College at WWCC is looking for volunteers June 18-22. Hours 12 pm - 5:30 p.m. Spend a week assisting with games and snacks and helping parents at drop-off and pick-up times.
